At first I was sceptical... how can a take-away curry for £3 (including a can of drink!) be any good.  But a number of colleagues tell me to efinitely check it out.

    And I did.

Well... £3 or take-away or not...  they certainly are very good tasting curries.  They certainly punch above their weight that's for sure.

My fav would be the lamb bhoona and the chicken byriani.

I popped in for dinner last night, fancying a sausage supper. Suffice to say I won't be back. Ever.

For £5 I got a large portion of the worst chips I think I have ever had from a chip shop - which were cold by the time I got them to the car to eat, barely 5 mins walkaway; a small, stale buttered roll; two sausages which actually were OK.

I never throw food away. I've paid for it, I'm not going to waste it. And yet I disposed of more than half the chips from this meal, they were so awful. The roll was the worst I've ever had from a chip shop, too. I've never experienced such a stale roll. Dreadful. And for a fiver? Next time I go to McDs and spend less.

Standing a taxi queue at Central is never fun, especially when hungry. This is why Cookies is here! Yaaay!

Cookies will cater to all your takeaway needs - pakora, chips, kebabs... everything. Ok, it's your average takeaway, but you get good service, a bit of banter and cold juice. I can't complain.

My advice? Avoid the Blue Lagoon and their extortionate prices, and hit up Cookies instead.
